Established in 2011 at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street, the Gateway Garden was created in partnership with the Downtown Special Services District of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. as part of the “Plant It Pink” campaign for breast cancer awareness. The garden frames Manchester’s Downtown sign with a profusion of pink blooms and pollinator-friendly perennials, such as Knock Out Roses, Phlox ‘Bright Eyes,’ Russian Sage, Sedum ‘Autumn Joy,’ and Echinacea ‘Kim’s Knee High.’
